Darcy's gallery is divided into two main rooms - one for her Functional Pottery and one for her raku and other decorative pieces - each with separate "side rooms". Use the links to the left to visit all.
This functional pottery has a beautiful, rich, dark chocolate (almost black) Tenmoku glaze with a pretty splash of blue. The name Tenmoku (Heaven's Eye) comes from the mountain temple in China, where iron glazed bowls were used for tea ceremonies. This style was widely popular and highly prized during the Song dynasty.
This stunning pottery is lead free, food and dishwasher safe. The pieces can be used in microwave or conventional ovens, but it is important to heat the oven and pottery together. Pottery does not like sudden changes in temperature.
